Latest report on TOSHIBA FOLIO 100 NOW SHIPPING IN EUROPE: Toshiba has begun shipping its Folio 100 tablet in Europe. Toshiba Folio 100 is a 10 inch tablet runs Android 2.2. It is powered by a dual core processor with 2 NVIDIA Tegra HD video playback and 3D graphics acceleration support.

In terms of hardware, Toshiba Folio 100 is a pretty impressive machine. But the software is lacking in many respects. The tablet, for example, has no access to the Android Market. Instead, it comes with a Toshiba-branded apps market.

The Folio 100 has a 10.1 inch capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The display can hold up to 4 touch inputs sim! ultaneously. Other specifications include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth and optional 3G. The tablet also has an HDMI output, 16GB of storage, an SD card slot for expansion and USB client and host capability.

The Toshiba Folio 100 ships with a 22.6 WHr battery, which will reportedly power the computer up to 7 hours on a single charge.

Price and availability
Toshiba Folio 100 is now shipping in Europe between 399 and 499 Euros (about $ 568 to 710 U.S. $). No word on pricing or availability in the U.S..
